This easy to apply plant derived vegan organic deodorant balm utilises the natural properties of base and essential oils to prevent odour causing bacteria.


Organic Australian macadamia oil is regarded as a drier oil. Due to its strong penetrative attributes, it sinks into the skin well without feeling greasy. High in monounsaturated fatty acids, including omega 9, its strong moisturizing, softening and regenerating qualities are matched with its anti-inflammatory benefits. Due to its phenolic compounds, macadamia oil also has strong anti-bacterial and antifungal properties.

Magnesium hydroxide is formed when magnesium chloride in the sea water is reacted with lime (calcium oxide) to form the Mg2+ and OH- ions, which then precipitate into magnesium hydroxide salt. With many internal uses as an antacid and laxative, here it is used for its water drawing function to aid in healthy but more controlled sweating.


Coconut oil is used in this deo balm for its antibacterial (mainly due to the lauric acid content) and antifungal properties.


Kaolin clay has many detoxifying and cleansing benefits like most clays. It is added here also due to its absorbant properties.


ILA + AVA uses an ‘aluminium free’ arrowroot powder sourced from Thailand, in this deo balm to help bind the finished product into an easy to use consistency and help draw and absorb moisture.


Candelilla wax – the vegan alternative to beeswax, is derived from the small shrub native to Northern Mexico. Its leaves are boiled to obtain the wax and is used in this balm for its binding abilities to carry the other ingredients.


An organic palm-free plant derived glycerin is used to help maintain the softness of the balm.


The combination of high quality essential oils are chosen for their strong anti-bacterial properties, calming and refreshing scents.
